About

"Velvet Revolver is a hard rock supergroup who released their debut album "Contraband" in 2004. Before becoming a real band, they recorded the track Set Me Free for the Hulk Soundtrack. The band is made up of ex-Guns N' Roses members Slash (guitar), Duff McKagan (bass), and Matt Sorum (drums), as well as Scott Weiland (vocals) of Stone Temple Pilots and Dave Kushner (guitar) of the hardcore punk band Wasted Youth .

On December 4th of 2006, Velvet Revolver started recording their second album, entitled "Libertad" which is Spanish for freedom. The album was released on July 3, 2007, with a bonus DVD entitled "Tierra Roja, Sangre Roja" (Red Land, Red Blood) which documents their trip to Argentina to play at the Quilmes Rock '07 Festival.

Velvet Revolvet recorded as well cover of Pink Floyd's song "Money" or "Can't Get It Out Of My Head" by Electric Light Orchestra (released on "Libertad")

On their concerts they usually play both Stone Temple Pilots' and Guns N' Roses' songs such as Sex Type Thing, Vasoline, Mr. Brownstone or It's So Easy; besides playing their original repertory. They've also added the acoustic Patience to their setlist for their Libertad tour. "
