I've been a vegetarian since 1991, but my initial decision was prompted not by a love for animals, but by a dare issued by my sister. Anyone else come by it in an usual way?

One of my teachers had us dissect those (I think they were Foster Farms) chicken legs that you can buy in the supermarket. I realized that I was actually eating eating all kinds of muscles/veins/etc., and I thought it was gross. I don't really care that there are animals slaughtered for human consumption, or that anyone else eats meat. The thought of eating it just kind of ruins my appetite.
