A great capture...totally suspended in space. Well done!

Wow -- that's a sick photo, and I'm normally not one for action sports photography. Not only did you capture surprise and tension of the moment here, but you did it with excellent composition and exposure. Really great stuff man -- I absolutely love it!

Great stuff... I love the tension that the photo creates. You know that landing hurt.

I've become a fan of the Sigma 10-20mm lens as well.

This was shot during an art festival in Downtown Greenville, South Carolina a few weeks ago:

Love that you started this group. Haven't had a second to shoot wide angle art shots between all the band shoots lately, but here is a recent favorite:

Hey Davey - I dig the photo. I've spent many a day there, though I've always had my shirt on =). I noticed that your B&W conversions are very contrasty. Until recently, mine were quite washed out. I've been working more on my B&W conversions.

Sorry for the delayed reply -- been getting ready to move apartments.

My trick with these is very carefully tweaking the curve until the black is prominent enough to enhance the detail, while still maintaining the presence of the other shades of gray. Oh also, I almost always shoot RAW and process everything in 16 bit before converting to 8-bit JPEG.

Hope that helps...

This reminds me of a Surrat painting. All you need is a woman with a parasol.

Hi all, looking forward to seeing some of your work. Here's one I took today at 28mm to get things started. Senator Theater in Baltimore.
