Does Firefox ever kind of die on anyone? Me and my friend are both using Macs and it seems it doesn't really process CSS sometimes? I never had this problem when I used it on Windows though, I'm wondering if theres a pluggin or something.

I heard from my brother who owns a Mac that Firefox has some issues. Not sure if they're exactly like yours, though.

On a side note, Firefox does have a memory leak that I've experienced (while in Windows) when working heavily with the Google maps API and leaving the browser window open for days (while at work).

Being the paranoid android that I am I couldn't live without the CustomizeGoogle extension. I'm also a huge fan of Flashblock since my poor little iMac G5's processor doesn't play nice with flash. I hate flash ads!

Lastly, you can never go wrong with Greasemonkey, especially since I looove this awesome Greasemonkey script for Flickr. It's nothing terrible useful but I looove it: Flickr Buddy Icon Reply. ;)

@thesonisshining: Those first two extensions could prove pretty handy for me, they're pretty slick. Thanks for the head's up. ;)

If you like the web developer tool bar you need to also checkout Firebug. I use it daily at work. I don't know how I developed websites without it.

I think there are a whole host of reasons why firefox is a better browser. It self updates, supports modern web standards (actually Internet Explorer is really the only browser now that STILL doesn't support web standards, even with v7) - It has all kinds of amazing plugins that you can customize your browsing experience with, live bookmarks... the list goes on and on.

To top it all off, it's open source software, which has a huge benefit for the user-base since there are always people contributing to make it even better.

I never gave a lot of thought to the browser I was using before I used FF, but after using for a week I wish I would have made the switch sooner. The internet is THE media of the moment, why would you ride the information superhighway on a tricycle when you have a free ferrari at your disposal?

So in summary, you could download firefox free with one click and be up and running in about 2 minutes OR you could download Internet Explorer 7. which will require you to fill out a 4 page form, and validate your copy of windows before proceeding with the heavy download.

Your choice. Personally, I don't like Microsoft's attitude.

I downloaded firefox to use withhttp://www.nowpublic.com/ because it has some features that marry well with that site. But I don't know if I should make the shift.I'm going to check it out now and see if i like it . I never really studied all of its features . What is the best thing about it?
