I changed the group image again - I can't really decide what to use, so get used to it changing a few more times perhaps ...

I know - there's something about the process of creating a group that revolves around getting the right icon, in my opinion - and I'm just not sure. I don't like to steal other peoples images or ideas and shouldn't use copyrighted ones either - but this seems appropriate for now and that poor orangutang was too cute..

Done! (but I did like the old image...)
Don't want to get into trouble - the groups do that for themselves! I have to say too, thanks to everyone for joining - even if you are all my friends - but that is a good sign, right?? You're all feeding my addiction, I hope you realise? my phobia or fear is that no one will join my groups or ignore them once they have.

Ok...this is a good one (though I also liked the other one, moo). It made me giggle...which is a very good thing right now!

HEATHER says:
i fear most bugs. i have jumped out of a moving vehicle once upon seeing a spider crawling on the middle compartment next to my seat...granted, we were only moving at about 2 mph in a wendy's drive-thru.
i also fear most rodents (though i used to have pet rats... i wasn't afraid of them because they were domesticated).
i fear leaving the house. i haven't had a job in over 6 years.
i fear going into public places (stores, library, hospital, etc...), especially if i am alone.
i fear driving. i haven't driven in almost as long.
i fear talking on the phone to people i don't know (my husband has to call in my doctor appointments).
i fear social gatherings (i don't have any real life friends anymore... my friends from high school have all moved away. i consider some of my husband's friends my friends also, but i never see them unless on the rare occassion that i do leave the house with my husband to go to a show or out to eat).
i fear germs (i don't think i'm to the point of being OCD about it, but i do wash my hands often. i also re-wash any dish i take out of a cabinet and i always take from the middle of the stack, whether it be real dishes or paper plates).
i fear death and dying. i obsess about this constantly and am always coming up with some new, horrible illness or disease that i must have and think i'm dying for a couple of weeks until i've convinced myself that maybe i'm okay since i'm not dead yet.
i'm pretty sure i have a lot more i could add to this list, but these are the basics.
i've suffered from anxiety and panic disorder for as long as i can remember, but just within the past 10 years it's gone through the roof and seems to only be getting worse... i feel a majority of my anxiety stems from my fears/phobias/paranoia.

We just need to use the group to teach things about phobias and then we can claim fair use...

you know - I never even think about where those group images come from - if they're on google, then fair game as far as I'm concerned...maybe I will go with the monkey after all...
Now I really am worried ... and there's all my other 20 odd group-creations too - though some of those do have my own photos as icons...

It think there are likely a lot of people (me included) who suffer from this one

Just Because iCan says:
(these are not in order of course)
1) I wont drink or eat any product on [or after] it's "Sell-By" date
2) I must know the locations of all people around me if I'm out in the open
3) At night, indoot lights must be off if they cast shadows on windows or if your windows don't have blinds. It has to deal with the "someone" could see in but you can't see out factor of inside / outside lighting effects
4) Insects in my room while I sleep. If I see one as I'm getting ready for bed, I have to kill it before I can actually get sleep.
5) Drinks, fluids, or runny foods with unknown "chunks" in them (falls back on my first listed one)
I think that's probably sufficient for my introduction to the group.

While I don't gag, I also don't like it when my ears are licked or kissed. My ex liked that for some reason and I held out for as long as I could before I just had to go, "ok, can we just not do that anymore", lol
And while SNickau points out that it's not exactly a phobia, I also hit the lock (and unlock) buttons on my keys several times. The best part is that I don't even have power locks. I just have a silent kill switch on my engine. When getting in I usually hit and get the lights to flash twice and when leaving the car I usually flash them three times as I walk away from the car... thought that Might be more OCD than anything.

Two of my biggest phobias ~
* Fear of REALLY large crowds of people in enclosed places...kind of goes along with my fear of closed in spaces in general.
* Fear of huge expansion bridges...seriously...I have horrible nightmares about these things.

So I guess indoor concerts held in theaters that require you to drive a cross a bridge for are out of the question?

Large crowds in enclosed spaces don't scare me...it just makes me wonder how safe we are. If a fire were to get set off I wonder what the chances of everyone getting out safely would be...not too good.
And I don't like those huge bridges, either...they're scary.
