If I have any fears or phobias, then I haven't discovered them yet. I still accepted, though, because Moo made this group.

It's not obligatory - but thanks Matt!
(maybe you have a fear of offending me?)

Amongst the other usual 'fears' (spiders being the most obvious - the ones that run very fast - though I never quite understand those therapists that think training you to hold a tarantula will be the cure - it's the ones in the bath that I need to address) ... I digressed - as usual - no, my main fear is that I will want to jump of the edge of a cliff or tall building if I go too close to the edge. I can feel myself being pulled in that direction and can even picture myself falling to the ground below. I never go too close for that reason - and I wonder if I would ever really do it or be able to stop myself.

I'm not usually afraid of spiders, but my ex used to live in Arkansas and when ever I visited there they had these crazy spiders that were all yellow and brown and they could leap like 3 feet. lol, I remember all our crazy antics trying to kill them whenever one would appear. Sadly this is the first time I've smiled at any memory relating to her for a while...
As far as the jumping thing. I kind of know what you mean about the whole being drawn towards it and picturing yourself falling. Only that always makes me want to crawl off to the edge and look over. Weird hu?

I'm afraid of my computer screen exploding in my face and glass shooting into my eyes.
I work on a computer about 15 hours a day. Maybe I'm trying to tell myself something.

lol, maybe. Though you're probably not really that scared of it if you're still able to work on it for 15 hours a day...

Oh, the next model will. They're all about Aluminum and Glass now. So if you upgrade you're going to really have to worry!

Failure is scary, sometimes. I don't think I'm as scared of it now as I was a few years ago, dal.

I'll bet you had some nightmares.
That sounds like a scary combination there...fear of water where you can't see the bottom & working in a place where it exists. Creepy!

I usually don't care until I try to dive to the bottom and can't reach it before I have to head up again...
Then it becomes a challenge.

Yeah, when I was younger I did Junior Guards and we did this big swim out around this spot way out in this cove. I ended up having to pull my goggles off so I could "pretend the water wasn't as deep" and that I couldn't see all the "things" swimming beneath me.

I have a couple of fears. There are two that I think are a bit ridiculous but have been fearful of them since I was a lil' kid.
1) Crossing train tracks. It doesn't matter if there's a train in sight, I get goosebumps and my heart always races.
2) Going to the doctor. I'm not afraid of the needles or anything like that...I'm afraid that he'll tell me I have nut cancer. Maybe I'm just afraid of getting nut cancer. But I avoid the doc at all costs because I'm afraid he will tell me that I have it for some reason.
