Imaginary People is an idea some friends and I had to base out of our Nashville home. It never quite came to fruition. Basically our home would have become the center of a community of artists and musicians who are concerned with pushing the envelope of originality and concept. I think an online community might just be what it should have been from the start.
Being in Nashville, one notices the stagnation of creativity due to the music industry stranglehold. So many artists give themselves up to be molded into what fits into a dying musical model. Imaginary People see this and are wary. We strive to create not based on the ideas and regulations of the expected, but rather what is actually within us. Truth in music and art. But this goes beyond Nashville, TN. All over the world there are artists looking to break a mold, to push a boundary, to be, creatively, what they were born to become. If you are one of these people. I invite you to become an Imaginary Friend. <3trees
