These guys (or guy really) has been around since 1988 and even though the style has moved with the times, the intense vibe that vocalist/guitarist, songwriter, genius (and the only constant in the band since its conception), Michael J. Pritzl has created with his 'violet burning' has remained the same. Beautifully dark and refreshingly vibrant, the violet's music has stood the test of time, thanks to Pritzl's diligence and determination. They have become the greatest band you've never heard of and has remained independent and built a huge following grassroots style. If you have not heard them, do yourself a favor and check them out!
Saw them at an extremely small show in Denver (venue was changed last minute.) Show was still incredible. Favorite song is Song of the Harlot, Low is a close second.
