ok - more spam so I have flagged as spam and deleted the comment - will see if it makes any difference. I could set this group to private but unfortunately there's no way of removing the offender from the group - may I ask anyone reading this to go to his/her profile and flag as spam too - maybe Brad and co will get several and take action (now they have the facilities to do so) http://www.virb.com/2663990853774931 thanks This profile is also in Animated gifs and the Apple group, so watch out.

This is a spin-off group from the word association group (and themes group) and is probably not even connected with either of those two (which, incidentally you should join if you haven't already).
The tentative link with those is actually a link in itself - this group is for associations of images, rather than words.
What I'd like you to do is to post an image (either a photograph you have taken, or if you wish, an image you have found elsewhere on the internet), then post another image which is in some way connected with the one before.
For example:
First post (in the form of a comment) could be an image of a wedding. The next image could then be of a buttonhole flower, wedding attire, rings, something coloured like the dress, a church, anything at all that you can connect in some way - the more obscure the better really. You can give a reason or just leave it to the next person to work out. It can even be a link with something that's not the main image - ie if that wedding picture had a dog in the background or a bird in the sky, you could link with that.
If you wish, you can post images as replies if the picture you wanted to link with has already been replaced by an associated image.
I'll start it off so you can get the idea - sounds much more complicated than it is.
Let's get some discussions going and have fun with what you find.
You might also find this group No Way useful for posting some of the more bizarre images you come across whilst looking for a link. Please join and contribute! (If you were/are a member, I've changed the premise of that group and widened the criteria, simply because it was languishing on the pile of groups marked 'neglected' which I find a little sad, though inevitable).
Oh, and if any of you clever people can come up with an image for the group pic, I'd be grateful - the links are ok but it doesn't really convey what I mean this group to be.
