Right, here goes. I'm new to this group but not to Virb and I've seen it become rather quiet lately. I know there are pockets of activity that (thankfully) occur everyday, but generally, we need to liven the place up much more. I don't want to hear the excuses about it being summer or being too busy - all I'm asking is maybe 15 minutes of your time - not too much to ask for such an awsome place as Virb, I'm sure you'd agree. Here's the plan. 161 members on here - assume that maybe 30 of those have left the place completely, another 30 only visit once in a blue moon, that still leaves over 100 potential participants. (I'd be amazed if more than 2 people respond, such is the apathy generally around here right now, but 2 is better than none). Find a group that you have either joined or created - doesn't have to be a really active group, in fact a dormant one may be just waiting to be stirred into action. Make a comment. Even if it's just a short 'hello'. Look at your friends - choose one - any one - at random and look at their friends. Leave a comment on their profile or on a photo. It doesn't have to be much but make it relevant and be nice. Respond to a comment that has been posted in one of your groups. Make one new friend today. Don't neglect your current friends. If you have a friend whom you haven't heard from for a while, then send them a message and ask how they are. It really doesn't take much effort. Check your group activity overview (from the home page) and find out where there has been new activity - and add your response. Show willing. Please. The survival of Virb is in our hands. If each person reading this doesn't just ignore it, then we can get the place up and running again. What do you say?

OK guys -- let's brainstorm about how we can promote Virb. I'm convinced this is the best social network out there. Myspace and facebook are terrible and getting worse. Thoughts?
