I love the seagull! It almost looks like it was made from plastic, too cool.

I bought my Holga from www.holgamods.com and he gave me a cable release, interior flocking, closer focusing, a 6x6 mask, a bulb setting on the side of the camera instead of the bottom, and 2 workable apertures. sweet

I love my Holga! However, I was out of town last week, looked over after taking a bunch of pictures I was really excited about and noticed that the back came off while I was driving. :( Normally I use a rubber band to keep it secure, but I took it off to use it for something else that day. I'm still going to develop the film. Maybe a few frames are okay.

how did you get the contrast on the bicycle picture? did you just push the film in processing for higher contrast?
beautiful shots!

I think it's a combination of the late day light and cross processing tungsten film. I've gotten very consistent results from the Fuji Tungsten film when I x-pro it. I may have pushed it a stop in processing as well, but I'm not sure. And thank you!! :)

I'm in the market for a Holga, but only really familiar with the 120N. Should I opt for the 120CRN with flash and colorwheel?
By the way, the gold edition ones are just ugly enough to be somewhat cool

I've always heard the most simple Holgas are the best, but I've seen people do really rad things with the color wheel/flash. I agree about the gold ones. So awesomely tacky.

yeah, i dont think i can pass over the gold if i can help it. its just too perfect. did you use photoshop for some of the filter effects in your album? you have a nice eye

I've seen some really cool modded Holgas that people just spray painted different colors. White looks pretty cool too. If you get the gold you gotta post pics of it here!
In my film stuff the only post processing I ever do is sharpening. I'm not against it really, but I have prints of all my Holga stuff, and I want my prints and my digital archive to match haha. and thank you!

i have the crn. i love the colour flash. it can really wash out a photo when indoors, but outdoors it can throw out some randomness when mixed with natural light.

Wow. Those are all really stunning, but I like the IR photos the best. I've never seen IR shot through a toy camera before. I always figure the exposure would be horribly off, but those are all just amazing.

Im not sure what kind of filter he crammed on the front of it to make that work, but yeah infared stuff is neat. a few other people in some of the classes I was in were doing infared with plastic cameras, long exposure expressionistic stuff that was interesting. in some cases they even got the numbers/dots/other markings on the film paper to fit into their composistions. I don't know if I can find any examples
