For the conclusion of this years Online Machinima Film Festival in May, we are going to hold an awards ceremony in a theatre in Second Life. It will be similar to the screening of the "Mackies" in Second Life last November, but of course with the awards happening "online" as well. As a kind of introduction to this event we are also holding a "Cocktail Party" on Saturday 24th March to which you are all invited! Machinima Artists is a collective of filmmakers, where video games are not just games, but the tool for an artform. Machinima is (machinima =machine + cinema) is film created within a real-time, 3D virtual environment, such as videogame engines, but not exclusively games. All new members are welcome to join, machinima filmmakers and fans alike!
