A haiku is a form of Japanese poetry which is based on the number of syllables in words. There are three lines in a traditional haiku; the first and third line are five syllables and the middle line is seven syllables. Typically, haiku are somewhat abstract concerning natural subjects. This group is not going to be nearly so formal.
The way this group will work is a topic will be chosen by the first person to post. The next comment will contain a haiku about that subject. Then they will select the topic for the next haiku. If there are simulposts, the most recently selected topic should be used. The next person can always use the other topic suggested for the next person.
