Just made a logo. Feel free to set it as the group pic.

Stylish? Too abstract? Let me know.

I like it. But I think I also like that the current one has more color in it.
It would be nice to change the logo to something else with color in it. Can you come up with another one, Origino?

I agree -- it really does need to be in color. This one seems a bit too earnest. Beautiful work, though.

I like it. My only reservation is its mood; very somber, no? Perhaps a more playful, colorful design?

@chris flew: Ooooh... that one gets my vote as a candidate for the group logo.

Jonathan says:
The reason I didn't add any color is to create, well, kind of a somber mood. Yes, there are funny and playful moments, but the strip brings out something much more serious and meaningful than that. I wish to show how different Calvin and Hobbes is from the rest through my logo.
But I agree. The one sugested by chirs does make a better logo. Anybody want to resize it?
P.S. I'll try to create similar pieces as a kind of fanart in the future.

I am sure you all know of this website, but in case you don't or lost the link along the way, behold:
The Calvin and Hobbes Trannsmogrifier
You can search almost every Calvin/Hobbes cartoon ever printed, using keywords and such. My favorite website, I think. Enjoy!!

on march 20th, 2003 we sent the front page of the paper to the printer with the headline "WAR!" (sidenote: i was not on the editorial staff) I went home and dug through my calvin and hobbes anthologies looking for this comic (which recently came back into rotation on gocomics.com):

the last frame says it all.

Yes... and all this coming from a kid and a stuffed tiger is... thought-provoking...?

I once began work on a web-based lexicon of Calvin's advanced vocabulary, for which I planned to use the phrase, "Now you, too, can learn to speak like a six-year-old."

That collection is still on my list of top things to get before I die. You're SO lucky! My jaw always drops and a little drool comes out when I see the display at the book store. (probably too much information right there)
Did you turn the pages using tongs and hot wax? ;)

Which one of Calvin's "cardboard box inventions" do you like the most? The transmogrifier? The duplicator? The time machine?

tough call...has to be the transmogrifier for me tho'. good question :)

I think I'll pick the duplicator... with the good/bad side dial thing added. Seeing the good side of Calvin is hilarious. Not possible, but hilarious :D

Has anyone else played Calvinball? One of my all-time favorite activities! I can't wait till I have kids, because we're going to play religiously.
