i have no idea why, the stories and the songs are so straightforward but i think you can feel the integrity of the album breaking out of the case. after 15 years in the church i think i am only coming to understand grace and love now (like a fingernail scratching a filthy window pane catches a glimpse of sunlight) and this album has spoken to me of those things.
