I see that Virb does not allow use of the "!important" rule (it actually comments it out on page save, which is pretty neat if you ask me) and I also see that it does not like child selectors. This means that the " *:first-child html " hack to target IE7 is out. I also can't seem to get the *html hack to target IE6 but it just might be that I have not been specific enough in my declarations. Anyways, I guess what I am asking is, how are you guys targeting specific browsers in your CSS? I know that these hacks should act as my last line of defense but my hands are tied in some places if I want to continue to use Virb modules instead of create new HTML. I was trying to send a completely different design to IE6 (which you can read about here) but all my efforts have been shot down. Any suggestions?

sup Nick, hey I just realized the same when I was trying to pass my design to IE7/IE6, but unfortunately I haven't been able to do so even with the import css rule (which should really be the first line of defense as opposed to hacks). I just got here, but seeing all the kickass designs I'm humbled at the talent!

Try the underscore hack. example: #wrapper {width: 600px; _width: 594px;}
