Alright, super freakin sweet! I'm so glad there is a group for this here on Virb as opposed to other, crappy social networking sites that will remain nameless. I've been using PC/laptop for production for about seven years now on and off, originally with FL and now Reason :) glad to be here and keep mangling those sounds everyone :D

July 16-21st.... Well chillsters.... we have some killer news. Sven & I, our lappy toppys and Ableton plus friends are headed to Berlin to perform live.

We like to welcome our national and international friends from around the globe to celebrate the July Full Moon in a very special way...with BrainStorm Operations.

LIVE

They will have a "Psychedelic/Full On Stage", a new "Progressive/Electro Stage" and for sure our magical "Chill/Ambient Stage". For more info please check the "STAGES" button.

The old mystical and forgotten Russian army airbase with all its hills and hangars by berlin is surrounded by nature and a massive grassland campground until horizon and it seems to be perfect for a festival like this.

For more info check the "LOCATION" button.

Until now they have signed more than 150 artists from not less than 25 nations and emailed tickets to more than 30 countries.

Shops from all over the world will create an huge oriental market providing food, drinks, CDs, wear, gear ... You will also find a lot of cultural activities like fire shows, fire performers, stilt walkers, workshops and theatre perfor-mers.

For the nights we will bring you mind blowing Laser shows at 2 stages and for the hot days the well known sprinkler-system.

Just wondering who everyone here is into".....me...I'm really diggin "This Binary Universe" by BT...saw him live and it was incredible mix of laptops...and acoustic instuments.....and it was ALL played live in 5.1!.....the cd comes with a DVD thats just incredible...even if it's not your "Thang" it's to be marveled at on a technical scale.....I don't care for his other dance-y trance stuff.....but this one is audio fine art!

This Binary Universe is the fifth studio album by composer and electronica artist BT (Brian Transeau) released on August 29, 2006.

This work was composed and produced by BT specifically for 5.1. The CD is packaged with a DVD featuring all the compositions of the album in DTS 5.1 surround sound and features films by a collection of computer artists and animators.

The album makes extensive usage of a technique called circuit bending, often intentionally miswiring and short-circuiting keyboards, children's toys, and even Furbys to obtain interesting sequences of sounds that are processed and time-corrected, and then incorporated into the songs. Many of the beats and rhythms in the album were created by computer programs Brian Transeau developed himself to produce the effects he wanted. These programs include the Stutter Edit and the Break Tweaker.

Thank you WIKI!!!!!!!!!

I have just been fortunate enough to have been bought Logic Express 8 - is this not a pretty damn good bit of software? Anyone else just switched to it?
Kinda reminds me of Acid and Abelton combined, with better sound :)
