Anyone know of a good place to learn how to set up Mysql on an actual server? I'm new to php and mysql, but I kind of hit a road block when I couldn't figure out how to get mysql to work on the server I host my site at.

You might be able to ask your sever hosts to install mySQL for you. Try checking the documentation for the version you are looking to install for some tips as well.

Hi you guys and gals! So I need a freelance PHP...er. Here is the rundown.

I have created a site for a client with a simple form for ordering groceries. What I would like is for users to be able to login and save their list if they don't finish it and need to leave the site. Then they can sign back in and retrieve their list. So I guess it would be ideal for them to have more than one list but that's really not important. Anyway, once they have placed an order, I need there order to be saved to a database where an admin can manage orders and users and stuff. Please contact me if you're interested and let me know how much this would cost.
My email address is ben@thewaytoconvey.com.
Thanks

Ben

I hope PHP 6 finally implements the read_mind() function. It'll be so much easier than having to write out thousands of lines of code.

true... i wonder if Zend would appreciate the cord that has to go into the brain to enable it.... or was it wireless? i keep forgetting...

Fyorl says:

Depends on your hardware. The next macbook will have wireless brain-cord capabilities
