This will be my 4th season racing triathlons and my first as an elite. I'm actually travelling to NYC to race in July in the age group elite wave of the race and then back to seattle for the Troika HIM. I'm so excited for this season!

I competed in the New York City Tri (Olympic Distance) last July 2006. It was my first tri experience; swimming in the Hudson River was not quite as dirty as I expected, but definitely as unnerving. Got kicked in the face a few times, and a few of the bigger faster guys literally swam OVER me, but I survived with a time of 2:51:50, and signed up for 2007. Gonna try some other sprints in the NY area before that one. I think others like me could share their stories here.

best time is 2:18 although that was a weird one with a 1.2 mile swim but only a 21 mile bike. Generally I go it in the low 2:20s
