we've got to pass the word on about this group a little more. I'm going to work on it.
Purchased Rival Factions yesterday at Best buy. I like it but it's different, most of the album is straight up P86, but there is this hint of 80's new wave/90's alternative flavor on a few tracks. Molotov has hints of The Cure in it. Lyrically 'The Sanctuary Hum' is my favorite so far, 'Caveman Jam' is great as well. Of course the three songs they have on their purevolume.com, and myspace pages are great too. If I have criticism of the album it would be the art direction on the packaging. I don't like it. You can't read half the lyrics even when you try to filter them through the blue case. All in all, it's a great album with some surprises. I honestly think this is an album that will grow on me. Make sure you at least get a chance to listen to Molotov, and Normandy to be impressed by Schwab's vocal range, yes he stretched it even more on this album. This album takes them to the next step in their maturing as a band. We'll miss you Alex
