Dude, is anybody here making good money from their blog? We blog for shits and giggles, but a little beer money is nice. Even more beer money is even nicer!
We have some Adbrite banners and Music Blog Network ads that mostly just cover the cost of bandwidth. We've been trying to get on Indieclick and they keep dissing us. We're just trying to get more readers and try try again. Any secrets to turning a blog into yacht money?
Most aritsts see more revenue from IRL gigs than record sales. Records are often just released as a creative outlet and to generate hype for the revenue generating tour. Is blogging the same? Do bloggers have to be touring DJs or event promoters as well make a living in the music world? Can we make it on journalism alone (and are we even journalists? Does the word 'blog' have a stigma attached to it)? I don't know, just asking. If you have an opinion, I'm curious to hear it.
