Hugely impressive. My only difficulty with the series is that I had a hard time keeping track of who was who. The names and cities just meshed together. Thank God for the maps -- which looked like some 2nd grader drew them... left handed!

I've started listening to the audio books during work... there's hardly a better way to get into the flow and forget about the mad world around you. Since then, it's been usually once a year.

I remember when I had first seen the commentary on the extended dvds, christopher lee was talking about how he reads the books once a year. at the time, i thought the was such a badass thing to do every year. so i think puts me at about 5 times, and i still have to read them sometime this year.
