So what do all the V1RB users think of 2.0?

How do you guys like it so far?

I got used to it while I was testing the site, so I won't comment on the interface, but the group migration could've been done better. A lot of the old ones have been semi-wrecked :(

It was a simpler time...

P.S. Virb 2 is still beautiful.

moo - giving it another go, Feb 19, 2009:

I can't fathom it out to save my life. It feels like an alien planet that i stumbled across. Lucky for you to have had the chance to beta test - a shame that most of my groups don't work at all any more in the format they were intended to work in. I want to leave. I feel like I lost a close friend and an imposter has arrived trying to fill their shoes.
In fact, I feel really sad that everyone else seems to be getting along so well with it and loving it and I'm just feeling left behind and isolated.
That's how I feel Jonathan. I so wanted to love the place and I feel increasingly dumber as the day goes on. Maybe it was a simpler time - and I'm sure all the techies will think it's fabulous, but I for one don't see me remaining here much longer, not if I continue to feel the way I do.

Well I'm a "techie," and while I enjoy part of the new Virb, I find it harder to find information that was easily presented in Virb 1. I can relate to "stumbling around."

Stumbling is a true statment. But once I got my bearings the CSS seamed much easier to manipulate and I think I was making it way harder than it should have been.

There seems to be more functionality but I loved clicking on the Virb icon and finding new friends and design ideas from the featured section. I miss that.

I think in the long run Virb2 will be better, but they need to make it easier to manipulate for newer users. What made MySpace so popular was when people started dabbling into the HTML of it. Then all the Code Generation sites popped up and people started customizing.

I've always said Virb is a cross between Facebook and MySpace... now if only we could get all the users to switch, they have the best of both worlds!

Hello Virbans!
I pretty much like the new virb, I like it more than facebook or tumblr, but there's something that I hate: when you post an image or link from the"share on virb" buton, it posts the image tu your tumblelog but it hotlinks instead of uploading it to virb.

It would be better that way, like tumblr does, don't you guys think so?
