Many of us come to fully know & understand the sacrifice & way that was made for us and develop a real relationship with Jesus Christ later in life. Often in that case we say as the Psalmist : "Lord teach me to number my days... and work to show appreciation for the way that is made for us more urgently than ever before. The requirement of disciples of Christ to offer reconciliation to those not in relationship with the Father through Christ is more urgent when we realize "I really don't have all the time in the world", and question " Am I reaching everyone that I am supposed to reach or am I missing opportunities?" " Am I fully using the gifts & talents that have been in invested in me in the most effective way?" " Am I being busy or Pro-duct-ive ? Is the provision of God being channeled through my life to continually benefit myself, others, His purpose & plan?" I have to say what I came to say I have to do what I came to do while yet there's time.

For those of you who were not aware, because i have been crazy busy. I am serving as Musical Director for the City of Savannah Cultural Arts Summer theatrical production of THE WIZ. Prep and Rehearsal process has been lots of hard work and lots of fun. The show is coming up next weekend and the following weekend. Be sure to catch it. Lots of great young talent here in Savannah and i also called in a couple of theatrical veterans to help round things out.So its going to be a great show. I advise that you not drink a lot of liquids before the show because there are so many extremely funny moments you might just wet yourself from laughing so hard (seriously) or just wear depends and come on. Just be prepared. Great Music, cool story and lots of fun for the whole family. Can i be transparent? Sometimes I take heat from well meaning people for the way i live my life. Sometimes i shake it off easily and other times not so easily, & that invariably depends on who the person is: related to where they reside in my heart (midtown , suburbs, or boondocks) or if at all....What do I mean? Well, I am very often labled too big hearted for my own good..and that the level of focus that I put on helping others would be better spent on maximizing assets for my self...I don't know how many times I have had that all too familiar conversation.... But ,I remain unswayed that to live the life of CHRIST is to live/love not just on the level of philos but to exemplify an Agape life/lovestyle that not merely seeks to peripherally benefit others but seeks the highest good. I believe in a concrete way that what we do in obedience to the Holy Spirit to help others and draw them to Christ is of more lasting value than what we do to move forward our own plans. In fact the Father constantly proves that when we take care of His business.....(you know the rest). The following song comes about in a peculiar way that is normal in my life. I was recently (couple months prior) assisting my wife with organizing some paperwork (understatement) & came to the attention of her coordinator so she offered me some contract work in Special Education, so my "day job" right now is assisting a wheelchair bound (paralyzed :kneck down) young man at school. So you know me: " I get to help somebody & get paid for it too! HEAVEN!" . Time goes on & as usual I find that I'm recieving and learning so much more about joy, courage, & faith from the person who I'm supposed to be helping than I expect, and as a super bonus... in a seeemingly arbitrary encounter another Special Ed teacher asked me to do a quick voiceover (that's what I do) for her theatrical production and it is this POEM that knocks me for a loop!!!! The thing encapsulates everything that i ever wanted to be able to put into words about understanding peoples struggles by seeing through their experience.... and it was written by a child!!!! I was floored when I read it...I knew that discovering that treasure was my extra hidden benefit for working with the young man that I came there to work with.. I did not just do a voiceover (reading) but I wrote music and recorded the song for thier production and got in touch with the author who wrote those words years ago to share with her what a great blessing her words have been to me (and pray that the music is somewhere near as much a blessing to her)!!!! ..... the attached song is WALK IN MY SHOES and i did not change a word of it.... Oprah where are ya? This is a great story!!!!!
