Comparé par la presse musicale à Mogwaï, Sigur Ros ou encore Diabologum, les Guns of Brixton ont su faire évoluer le dub, et font parti avec Zenzile ou Ezekiel d'une scène dub rock en constante évolution. Après plus de 150 concerts en France et en Allemagne, et deux disques remarqués, le groupe, désormais quintet avec l'arrivée d'un second guitariste, vient d'achever son troisième opus. A l'automne 2008, ,Guns of Brixton passe un mois au studio de la Souleuvre et confie son mastering au Tonteknik, studio connu pour avoir travaillé avec Refused ou Cult of Luna. Titres instrumentaux post rock ou morceaux chantés par le groupe - avec également les featuring de Burning Heads et Ravi - font de "Cap Adare" un album résolument rock. Guns of Brixton n'oublie pas pour autant ses origines et les basses/batteries dub sont encore nombreux : assumées et éclectiques, les ambiances du groupe ne peuvent vous laisser de glace.
