I have tried so many times to maintain a personal journal for at least a year, failing always and, more often than not, early. The sole exception is a lonely Xanga on which I managed to post, with decreasing regularity, for a span of approximately 3 years. I suppose this is my attempt to recreate, and hopefully surpass, that previous, dubious, success.
Hello.
My name is Paul Bryant, and I am an artist presently residing in (both) Auburn, and Birmingham, Alabama. The former is a great deal less interesting than the latter, and will soon be dropped from the list. I do videography work for Bedouins International, a non-profit design company that I started with four of my friends, and that's consumed pretty much all of my time lately.
As is common with artists, I am interested (obsessed) with music, philosophy, and the ideas of beauty and truth, in all senses of those two words. Fortunately, I am also a Christ follower, so that last one at least feels a bit more settled.
I do not believe in cessationism.
I drink far too much coffee, roadtrip when I have the money, and ride my longboard as often as I can. I find team sports interminable, with the single exception of La Soule, which may be the most perfect sport ever invented. I love to read, most recently Through Painted Deserts and The Confusion, and I devour esoterica related to moving picture systems.
I guess that works for a cursory introduction.
With Compts to Ms Wham,
I remain ever,
yours truly
Paul.
