I've been noticing the signs - singular trees along the road starting to blush in yellows and greens, a slight chill in the early morning and the late evening, a general crispness of the air, and the moderate retreat of tourists.
Fall is almost here.
I love Fall. I love it like a long lost friend, but right now...right now I wish it would stay the heck away. This summer has flown by like...like....ok so I suck at simile. It's almost over and if feels like summer was barely here.
Fall is almost here, and it looks like I will have to resign myself to look forward to the riot of color as the trees change from cool and relaxing greens to warm and energetic reds and yellows. It is my favorite season I admit I just wish it would hold off for a bit longer so I can feel like I had a bit moer of a summer. I guess that sounds selfish and maybe I should feel guilty, but I don't - mostly because everyone loves summer and wants it to stick around longer than it does, especially here in Northern Michigan.
