I'm just a normal guy with a severe addiction to culture. You'll rarely find me not reading, listening, or watching something. I have a unreasonable fascination with good writing, clever melodies, and gorgeous cinematography.
My desire for culture also leads to my desire to travel, so far I've hit Japan (not physically, they're actually very nice people), with New York lined up for June this year, and England setup for next year. If you live there and feel like helping a (mostly) harmless tourist out let me know.
Other interests...let's see. I manage to find time to do a bit of Ruby programming and play around with fancy new technologies like VoIP (Asterisk). I'm fascinated by the Web 2.0 explosion and I like to use buzzwords like "semantic web".
I've got an unfortunate political streak about me made worse by my unabashed Libertarianism. Always up for a debate...which is often since being Libertarian puts me squarely at odds with Democrats and Republicans.
I'm a SysAdmin/CTO/MIS whatever for a small company of about 50. Not quite my dream job...but it's easy, I'm good at it, and it pays the bills.
As you can likely see, I'm a jack of all trades. I live for novelty and new and I'm always looking for people or hobbies to expand the breadth of my experience.
Oh yeah, and somehow I ended up writing this in kind of a pretentious tone...I'm really not, I'm actually a goofball most of the time, my writing just ends up sounding like this.
