Who.
I'm a multi-tasking Missouri-based 24-year-old masquerading as a 12-year-old. To be more specific, I'm a photographer, web designer, owner of the vintage boutique Orphaned Apparel and the founder of Serendipity Media, a music site where I review albums and interview my favorite artists, including Sleeping at Last, Eisley and Mew. I enjoy the finer things in life, like the noises my pets make when they're happy, toilets that don't overflow, staying up all night, sleeping all day, and swaying back and forth to the song in my head.
What.
My eye is drawn to the grandeur of urban decay: abandoned buildings, timeworn cemeteries and centuries-old antique architecture, as well as nature's unending miracles, from the tiny to the tremendous.
Why.
Hand-feeding giraffe, walking down Spring Street, rolling around on the ground with kittens, creeping through overgrown areas in chase of dragonflies (even if that sometimes means coming home wearing jeans infested with chiggers and other glorious little hitchhikers), reaching twelve thousand feet elevation in Rocky Mountain National Park and discovering just how scared of heights I am, serendipitous discoveries.
over the rhine, radiohead, the decemberists, arcade fire, rufus wainwright, patty griffin, sleeping at last, neko case, tom waits, joni mitchell, the clash, pink floyd, neutral milk hotel, björk, fiona apple, jeff buckley, bob dylan, vienna teng, the white stripes, nickel creek, camille saint-saëns, david bowie, imogen heap, ron sexsmith, the flaming lips, johnny cash, andrew bird, beth hart, danny elfman, rilo kiley, anberlin, the shins, midlake, lovedrug, queen, depeche mode, the cardigans, sufjan stevens, tori amos, sigur rós, mew, smashing pumpkins, muse, richard swift, amy winehouse, pilotdrift, antony and the johnsons, jules massenet, modest mouse, kelly clarkson, the beatles
art, abandoned buildings, antiques, alliteration, old cemeteries, big cities, ghost towns, vintage clothing, traveling, nature, thrifting, sunrises, sunsets, starry nights
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, moulin rouge, anne of green gables, shaun of the dead, walk the line, city lights, amadeus, the lord of the rings, the nightmare before christmas, the green mile, forrest gump, the shawshank redemption, donnie darko, the sixth sense
the colbert report, the daily show, friends, lost, south park, project runway
