About
heimstatt yipotash are coming from dresden, eastern germany.
we are making electronic music in solo projects under different names since the early 90s.
since late 90s "heimstatt" and "yipotash" established for the solo works.
2001 both projects united in "heimstatt yipotash" and did various live gigs what resulted in a self released live album called "fm excess".
in late 2004 we signed to the well known german indie label "hands productions". finally in early 2006 the album "storegga effect" had been released and got good feedback.
since october 2007 our second album "perpetual beta" is available, once again including a weird but working mixture of stomping rhythm noise tracks, ill sound experiments and crazy sample stuff.
in march 2008 we released the completely free online mp3 ep called "landslide" which resumes the "storegga effect" base theme, goes deeper into this matter, reflects from other points of view and generates new moods. so this album is more an intense sequel resp. a supplement to it than a common standalone work.
in april 2009 we released a cooperative split cd called "prototypes" with the stuttgard resident rhythm noise act "takhtahk" at 9-t-9 records.
in october 2009 (when we played at maschinenfest festival) our third album on hands productions called "urban night motifs" has been releeased.
since september 2009 our good friend, fantastic video artist and great musician mike aka the_empath from leipzig is supporting our live gigs with his superb visuals.
aside promoting our new album we are planning to do another teamwork album with him which will focus on a more IDM / clicks'n'cut style. we are very looking forward to this next step for us!

unser neues album “urban night motifs” war beim maschinenfest anfang oktober bereits zu bekommen.
das offizielle VÖ-datum ist jedoch der 30.10.09, wir haben die cd daher ab sofort in unseren kleinen cd-shop aufgenommen.

finally …
from today on the heimstatt yipotash homepage has got a completely refreshed look.
fitting to the layout of our new album “urban night motifs” it’s looking quite dark and dirty but inside it’s much more modern than before.
during our tests we didn’t find huge …
