VirbTunes
VirbTunes is a software plugin for iTunes (version 6 or later) that tracks your song plays and sends the data to Virb.com. By sending this iTunes data to Virb, you are able to display your Recent Songs, Top Artists, Top Songs and Top Albums in your Virb profile.
In the future we'll also be using the data to help you find your favorite artists on Virb.com, let you know when they are playing nearby, recommend new music based on your tastes, and more.
How does VirbTunes work?
Install the VirbTunes Plugin on your Mac or PC and enter your Virb.com login info when prompted.
Once VirbTunes is successfully installed, each song you play in iTunes will be logged. (songs must play half way through before they are tracked)
With VirbTunes installed, Virb automatically displays your Recent Songs on your Virb.com profile. (may take up to a day for stats to appear)
How do I temporarily deactivate VirbTunes?
Open iTunes.
Click the “View” option in the main menu of iTunes, then choose the “Visualizer” option under “View”.
With “VirbTunes” checked, click the “Options” link under “Visualizer”.
Clicking the “Options” link under “Visualizer” opens the VirbTunes panel.
Below your Virb.com Login info on the VirbTunes panel you’ll find a checkbox to enable VirbTunes.
Unchecking “Enable VirbTunes” will deactivate VirbTunes data collection until the box is checked again.
How do I uninstall VirbTunes?
On Mac OSX: Delete the "VirbTunes.bundle" in /Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins on your Macintosh Hard drive.
On Windows: Go to the Windows Control Panel, choose Add/Remove Programs, and then select VirbTunes.
