So midnight was after prom, and a lot more people showed up than I expected, which was good since my other class officers and some adults worked hard for two weeks to set it all up. I was so stoked and scared when they announced that the sophomore class would be hosting after prom. Well after two weeks of setting up everything, we had our class treasurer be the awesomest DJ ever, and everything from decorations, food, door prizes, candy, the bowling downstairs was awesome. Nothing really went wrong...just perfect, a lot of my friends went...well one of my friends had a book report due tuesday...unless he was just playing world of warcraft. The whole point of after prom is for us to be together and find fun in things other than drugs or sex. I really was surprised by how many people showed up and stayed until it ended at 4 a.m. Last year my former officers helped to set up a Spring Fling dance and that was awesome, even for a freshman hosted dance, mainly because the decorations were the best ever. I'm gonna run for class president of the junior class tomorrow, and I have to deliver a speech in front of every junior. Only one other person is running against me, my vice president of when I was a freshman:) and she has a lot of friends and is really nice, but so many people have been telling me how awesome I am and it gives me confort lol:) yup a lot different from last year when no one ran against me or when I was a freshman and no one knew me--good times:) I want to hold a big dance every year until I graduate:) o yes and at after prom I head banged with a bunch people I barely know, but it seemed we were friends for a while. Also started a dance train, conversed about beer and Mardi Gras with my friend's math teacher who also goes to my church, participated in can-can line, helped people try to devour a 42-47 foot subway sandwhich, and like 10 of us at the same time did that Chris Pontious Party Boy dance to our assistant principal and random hot girls on the dance floor; it was hilarious everyone cleared the middle and was watching and saying wtf and the people trapped were trying to get out of the massive party boy dance circle hahahahaaha, they liked it so it was all good, o yeah and at least I got a sweatband and had some cake. I had to stay a little for clean up, but I got to keep one of the lantern decorations. The school gave us money to buy door prizes for people and we gave away a couple ipods, a Wii, and video games (hmm grand theft auto III at a school event), as well as some of the prizes local business donated. Everyone wanted the Wii and this one guy in my math class won it:) I wanted to to set up an area where people could play guitar hero; reminds of of when my friends brother was explaining the game to a history teacher, who teaches in this giant mini theatre like room with a huge screen and is considered one of the coolest teachers ever (as in everyone wants to be his cadet teacher). He was like why don't you bring it in, and the class got to play it on the really huge screen:)

O yes and I also found out that by Friday I must hand in my petition to run for an office position in Teen Court, but a lot of my friends (all 60 some in the program) could be running for something, and a handful of them are really committed, but whatever I'm gonna try for vice president of the board because the president does all the talking and the secretary does all the notes, so the vice president sits there in the meeting and it still looks good on your college resume:) Wish good things to happen for me and you:) Count the smileys instead of reporting me to the grammar nazis:)
