I'm Content

In my last blog I talked about upcoming the Junior class presidential elections. When I started my freshman year I was a total megalomaniac, who didn't care about people's feelings, and thought it was easy to win them over and get a good mark on my college resume, so I ran for president even though I didn't know many people. I started my campaign one month before the elections and rallied hard, I had a few of my really popular friends rally too. One of the requirements to run is to write a paragraph on why you want to run or a statement of your goals along with ten signatures. I barely knew 20-30 people in my school at that time, so I thought it would be hard, but at the end I had some 80 signatures. There was this one girl, who I didn't know--but later became friends with, tell me she would be dropping out because a bunch of her friends were voting for me, so at that point I was really stoked. Then I wrote one of my most sincere and honest speeches based on my believes on change inspired by my heroes like Ghandi and Kennedy. On election day I was up against two girls, who had a lot of friends, were really nice, and involved in a lot of school sports and activities, but somehow I won...yup I got a lot of complements on my speech, even from the candidates. This is important to me because it brought me a bunch of confidence (my grades soared and I joined a bunch of extracurriculars) and met a bunch of cool people, which made me feel better about society. That year was fun because we earned a bunch of money from a great dance we spent hours upon hours planning called the Spring Fling along with participating in the Christmas Tree decoration competition.

I was re-elected, well actually unopposed, even though it seems like we didn't do as much as last year, we earned a higher income so it was great, we held another big dance, After Prom, as well as help out with the Christmas Tree decoration thing and help out with a community play and Prom cleanup.

So the past two years have been important to me because I learned the basic lesson, the world doesn't revolve around me, and learned to care about other people. So my former vice president ran for president and won:) <---wait wtf is there a smiley you ask, well she is a person with great character, optimism, and prior experience, so I feel safe passing the torch on to her; even though a lot of money still needs to be raised...yup got a bunch of complements on my speech again:) a bunch of people (close election) still support me (like they were taking it personal, like they were sad/mad I didn't win...I was like whoa she needs our support to get things done, give her a chance), and I tell them it's okay because I have more free time to plunge deeper into insane:):( I'm also happy because I have A LOT of free time now, so that I can not eat ham sandwiches, take long naps, watch tv hahahaha, take up a hobby like film making, write, devout more time to guitar, set bonfire parties at the beach...don't tell anyone, read...nah, homework...nah, study for my long overdue driver's permit...nah, play WoW...possibly, set up games of ultimate frisby, knit sweaters...hahahaha jk, learn the bagpipes lol (ever since I saw that Flatfoot 56 video I always wanted to), and most importantly hangout with the people I CARE about (yes amazing, I know no more desire to enslave the world like a neocon). I will still do my part to help those in need whenever I can and take positions in many extracurriculars like Teen Court, and even help the freshman with their Spring Fling because I still want to help out with the hosting of one dance a year not including PROM and plus we resurrected SF so I want it to be a tradition, but that's in like a year so I'll be inactive...it's like working and yet being relaxed. Well I'm gonna hang with my friends, which is about 80% of the people I meet--the others either don't know me well or hate me hahahaha, actually my friends tell me I'm weird because I say and do random stuff to them when I meet them, like criticizing them on point (in a funny jerk way, not to offend them) or like in the school library the other day I did that stupid starburst berries and cream dance to some random chick in the library hahahaha. Well anyway my main point is that if there is something you want (in my case for the wrong reasons at first) go for it, sometimes you don't know how far it will take you. Yeah I have so much free time, that's why I care to write this, to tell you how much time I have hahahahah, it's like infinity now...wtf...why am I still typing?...:):(:):(:):(:) <---ooo mood swinger..........
