Last year my friends and I started a tradition:) Our school's health division puts on this fundraiser and awareness month for Diabetes with a walk (or race) on the last day, and on the first annual walk last year my friends and I walked and ate a bag of chips on the way and I won a pair of giant star glasses, so we christened it Diabetes Fest 06. This year I jogged with a friend of a friend, and when we reached the halfway point I had a conversation with him, but didn't even know his name!! hahahaha and I forgot it too:) I had lost my name tag on the way back to the school and he somehow had two so he came in 47th and 48th place (and we let a bunch of people pass us too). A friend was gonna come in on his tricycle shirtless with I survived Diabetes Fest 07 on his chest hahahaha, but looking forward to next year because we have this plan where we would hide a friends car at a checkpoint and bring it out and play hardcore mosh music, like bury your dead, and ghost ride all the way:) We even adapted a mascot--Diabetes monster. I was talking to this with a teacher (really cool guy, who likes Fugazi and stuff) and he said we should change Diabetes Fest because we're not suppose to be festive about it, so he suggested D-Day or DIABETES awareness FEST <---with the awareness part in fine print hahahaha. Next year I should put up a count down ticker:) Well yeah there you go...now go count all my smiley's and don't tell the grammar nazis. no more ham sandwhich:( omhg im soooo sad I'm gonna hide in a corner and slash my wrists and listen to My Chemical Romance jk jk how about My Cock is Rubber <----now there's really cool band name.
