About

Hinterlandt was founded by J. Gutsch in Sydney/Australia in 2002, but relocated to Bonn/Germany in 2004.

Hinterlandt released 9 solo albums on 8 small labels in 5 different countries. The complete "Automatic Teller Machine" and "New Belief System" albums can be found in the Virb player.

Hinterlandt became a trio in 2007, with F. Gebhard on bass and H. Voigt on drums. Things have changed since then, as noise rock and dub have found their ways into the trademark lanscape compositions.

Hinterlandt played about 100 shows in various formats so far, in a great variety of locations such as cafes, art galleries, indie rock venues, electronic music clubs, book shops, psychedelic rock festivals, and so on.

Hinterlandt is in it for the music.
