As a society, we allow many of our brothers and sisters to slip through the cracks in our broken systems; they end up lost and shunned, living in a wasteland void of love and compassion. Most of us are fortunate enough to live comfortable lives and it is often easy to get caught up in our daily routine and forget those that do not experience the same basic standard of living* that we all desire. We allow our fellow human beings to wallow in loneliness and abandonment; if we will not befriend the alienated, then we are the cause of their alienation. Our goal is to bridge our socioeconomic gaps, overcoming human inequalities, with the hope that a community of people will rise up, allowing individuals to serve others in mutual love, leaving no need or heart unfulfilled: A community that looks not to wealth, riches, power, and fame, but to humility, interdependence, grace, and love.
