Can you believe that New Spring Churh has sent over 400 middle and high schoolers Panama City, Florida? Well, it's true. My son is one of the lucky kids who was allowed to go on this adventure. They will be there all this week competing against each other in teams and just rejoicing in the Lord.

Last night looked like a mad house at the church. There were kids running around everywhere. They were so excited that it would take an auction caller to understand what they were saying because they were talking so fast. Then, there were parents like me, awe struck at the actual order that seemed to be in place; but, at the same time sad.

People joked with me last week saying that I was gonna have a great vacation with him being gone for two weeks. (By the way, I forgot to mention that as soon as he gets back from Florida he will be leaving again for Tennesee for another 7 days.) Actually, I will be very lonesome until he is back home. I don't understand parents who look forward to their child being gone.

Also, thank God for all of the adult volunteers who went and chaperoned these kids. I'm not sure exactly how many went. All I know is that they are probably not appreciated enough. If there were adults that cared that much when I was a child my life would have probably been alot different.
