Finally after all this waiting we get some good news about gamerscores and achievements. A post on the Xbox News site now confirms that Microsoft and Old Spice have teamed up to give away various prizes based on your gamerscore. It's not about your current gamerscore it's about your gamerscore generated over the next year.

The contest officially starts on February 12th. You have to sign up at the Rewards Experience site first. Then whatever you get in gamerscore after the 12th is what goes towards your total. There are 3 different levels of prizes depending on how much gamerscore you received.

• Level 1 - 0 - 4,999


• Level 2 - 5000 - 9,999


• Level 3 - 10,000+

I suppose I will be shooting for 10,000+ in the coming year. With all the cool games coming out this spring, summer and fall. I'm sure it won't be hard to get that much gamerscore. The problem is that prizes are limited so I dunno if I will get in or not. At least I will have something to show for it if I do.
