Hello There,
The latest two tracks: Mountain Road and Change are largely inspired by lots of the folks on Virb. I thought, hey, instead of blab about myself in this space, I'll blab about them. It's weird how floating through the Virb community and listening and looking helps to influence and spawn new ideas in the old brain matter. These are folks who I find inspiring.
I put them all in my top friends so you can easily go see what I am talking about! They are the FIRST 7 friends....go go go see them
Sines - Totally relaxed, atmospheric sound rich dubstep out of Houston, Texas. I much appreciate the melodic approach to the dubstep style. I'm trying to get Sines to do an interpretation of Mountain Road!!!!!!!
Orlando Dubstep - Honestly, for some reason I love his "Dub is so Popular", it's just great. Plus all the pictures of animals, I mean, nature and dubstep together....hurray.
Laura Taylor - Spent some time poking through her pics while making these tracks, and they definitely contributed. I've never been really into the visual arts, but her photography is totally great. Lacking appropriate adjectives, I'd say you should go check them out yourself to see what I mean.
Cokiyu - Absolutely amazing awesome mellow harmonic gorgeous music.....I've spend a good amount of time trying to buy Mirror Flake but it's sold out everywhere I look.....
Hexadecibel - Wicked ass, British Columbia based dubstep artist that is super creative and makes all sorts of neat layers to tracks. His tracks Powah Surge and ManMachine totally rock my MP3 player daily.
Ochre and Tycho - Super Cool, Untouchable, Always Inspiring, Music Deities (Musical Superheroes)
Well, that was ridiculous 2 weeks ago
I spent a long time making Reason work again after my computer crapped out....but it's worth it. Inspired by several Virb folks: Sines, Kavinsky, Laura Taylor.....I've got some new muzak on the way! Put it together tonight and I need to arrange things....sweet.
