THE ORIGIN OF THE ILL LILLIES

Crack Boom BANG! 13.7 billion years later and another cosmic bang occurs! Galaxies colliding at alarming speeds, massive balls of ice and gas being sucked into black holes were no light or sound can escape! Except for one sound, the sound of the ILL LILLIES!!

26 years and nine months ago a Gypsy kicked a pregnant woman in the stomach and swore of a prophecy, a prophecy that foretold the very baby that lay unborn in her loins would bring on the end of the Universe. 3 keymasters would also be born in that time in various places across these United States, once they combined their guitar hooks, drum solo's, smooth jazz like bass, they would be known as the Ill Lilles and the universe would cease to exist. A period of tranquility and complete Nirvana would follow. A spiritual world fueled by their music would open dimensions of time and space the likes a human mind could ever conceive.

Unfortunately the Gypsy was wrong and was arrested for kicking my mother in the stomach, but we are a pretty cool band so if you'd like check out our stuff.

The Story of Mardelina

Hal Ardy woke up at 7:30am just as he did everyday. At exactly 7:32am he shaved, brushed his teeth, and combed his hair just as he did everyday. At 7:43am he had a bowl of cereal with a glass of water, just as he did everyday. You see, in the city Hal lives in everything is preplanned and scheduled to run like clockwork, when Hal leaves is apartment at exactly 8:02am he gets in line right behind the same person everyday. If he were to be a tad late or a little early the line would stop and the city would shut down ensuing chaos, those who cannot fit this regimen are shunned from the city to live alone in the wild.

Years ago Hal had a family, a Mother and Father to be exact, and one time they took him to see a film. Hal did not remember any details of this film other than a scene with a beautiful Spanish lady with a giant guitar, she sat atop a stage where the lights broke through cigarette smoke to show her long dark hair with a rose that matched the color of her red lips. She than began to sing a song about a girl named Mardelina, a song that Hal sat and hummed as he ate his breakfast, staring at the clock and soon realizing he would have to leave now to keep his schedule.

Hal leaves his apartment at exactly 8:02am and gets into line just as he does everyday. It can be quite the task to keep up with the left right rhythm of the line, most kept their heads down to keep focus on their feet but Hal was too busy trying to keep his song in his head. He walked along quite happy as the song slowly began to dissipate in his head and turn into the left right rhythm of the line, then it was completely gone..... so Hal stopped. The man behind Hal walked into him, as the man behind and the man behind and so on, causing almost a reverse domino effect, and chaos ensued.

By the time the police arrived Hal was already gone, running through the city streets towards nature. He didn't know how to get there but it was almost like instinct had led him away, where the buildings got smaller in the distance and the smog began to clear. Hal just ran, he ran until his lungs could no longer fill with air and his feet have out from under him. When he awoke he was at a lake, as Hal looked up he saw sunlight breaking through the tress to shine on the water. On the other side of the lake there was a woman, much like the one in the movie Hal saw as a child, she had a big guitar on her lap and she began to sing.

There she was sitting back, eating breakfast in my heart
four hour drive, and there she was

Sitting round and watching tube, sitting round and smoke a doob
On a four hour drive and there she was.

My contentment is very simple to you, make it like it was before

Hal was at peace, so he looked down at the lake and jumped in.
