I've had this idea in my head since I signed up for the Apple Developer Connection. One of the required fields on the sign-up form was 'company.' Since I don't really work for a company at the moment I felt I should just do what I always do in such situations — I faked it. I couldn't think of anything clever at the moment so I turned to my roommate. After very short deliberation he suggested Weyland-Yutani. I told him that was a punch on his nerd card … and the nerd card was born.
