Passage: Luke 12:22-34 & 2 Kings 5:15-27
We have said at some point in time something along the lines, "If I had blank I would be so happy!" You would fill in the blank. If we haven't said it, we have heard someone say it. As a kid, I wanted a Nintendo. I thought it would be bring me happiness. I begged my parents and even worried what I would do with out it. Then I finally got my Nintendo and I was happy. As time went on, I started to get bored with the Nintendo. It didn't bring my happiness. Then I thirsted after something else. I thought something else would make me happy. All that happens is a cycle of false since of happiness. Jesus says in the Luke passage were your treasure is, your heart will be also. He also tells the disciples not to worry. We have to make sure our treasure is not our "Nintendo's" but God. When God is our treasure and we are living in his will. Then we can start to have true happiness and joy. God is our thirst quencher. Even in the hard times we can find joy in God's will if we are living in the center of his will.
