The Whigs have A LOT going for them, the least of which includes being positively recognized by Rolling Stone, Spin, Conan O'Brien, Entertainment Weekly, and StereoGum. Oh, and Pitchfork even gave their new record "Mission Control" a 7.0. (you know how damn strict they are!)

Bottom line: Amazing neo-roots-rock with definite leanings towards Paul Westerberg, The Replacements, and at times The Strokes.

Going to SXSW? This one's a no-brainer! They're playing Thursday March 13th @ 8:15pm at The Austin Music Hall. Be there.
