Description
Isle Of Funk is a alternative/rock/funk/psychedelic/experimental band from Mumbai, India.
Isle of Funk was formed in April 2007 by founder Denzil Lewis. The bands name is an outcome of Denzils years and years of listening to bands with essence of funk music. Ironically the song compositions by guitarist Navjot are hardly funky. As Navjot has to put it "Isle Of Funk sounds good, and it also rhymes with I LOVE FUNK".
Most of the songs by guitarist Navjot might sound like "John Frusciante" of the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" songs cos' the only thing Navjot does is listen to Frusciante and RHCP all day long, all night long, all the time.
Isle Of Funk (IOF) never had an official vocalist yet, and most probably won't in the near future.
Guitarist Denston Lewis, brother of Denzil lewis is another driving force behind the music of IOF.

The Band hasn't recoded any album yet, but are in the process of recording and E.P, which we plan to release on VIRB in April t his year to mark 2 full years of the band.
