Hello all!

After much procrastinating, we've finally come around to posting our first blog. There are many, many things going on with us right now, which is why we decided this would be a good time to start this up... Now that we've got the ball rolling, I'm sure we'll be updating quite regularly.

As for what is happening in the near future, we're playing a 30-minute set this Saturday night at 6pm at Paddy Reilly's in Murray Hill ( 29th St. & 2nd Ave.). Saturdays are open mic nights at Paddy's; however, we've been invited to kick things off with a bit of an extended set. If you feel like getting out early on Saturday, we would love to see you there!

Next Saturday, June 23, we're performing at a Relay for Life benefit in Forest Hills, as part of the entertainment line-up for participants of the event. The details of the night are below, and because it's an all-night thing, we're scheduled to play at 12:30 a.m. (yes, a.m.). There are other performers preceding and following our set--bands begin at 7 p.m. and continue until 2:30 a.m. Please come out if you're in the area--it's a great cause and there will be much to do!

We've also got performances lined up at The Baggot Inn and Waltz Astoria, which are listed on our profile. This Saturday afternoon, Waltz Astoria's Wednesday night (6/13) open mic will be broadcasted on the internet radio station www.gothamradio.org. We're one of the featured artists from this show, so if you would like to listen, a stream will be posted on the above website. Check back for more show additions soon...

We're planning on launching our website, www.jadensouth.com , within the next few weeks, so keep an eye out. Content will be added gradually, and we hope to make the site as interactive as possible. Please let us know if there is anything you'd like to see as a part of the site, or if you have any suggestions once it has been launched. We'd appreciate any feedback!

Thanks for visiting our page and thanks for taking the time to read all of this. We hope to see you at a show soon!

RELAY FOR LIFE FACTS:

WHAT: The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life is a
unique celebration of life in honor and in memory of those whose lives
have been touched by cancer. Relay For Life involves teams of 8-15
people who take turns walking or running around a track all night
long. A festive atmosphere prevails as team members camp out on the
surrounding grounds for the duration of the event to enjoy music,
food, fun, entertainment and activities while building camaraderie
with fellow teammates and participants. Money is raised through team
commitment fees and donations secured from family, friends, companies
or corporations.

WHEN: June 23-24, 2007- Opening Ceremonies 6:00 PM,
Closing Ceremonies 7:00 AM

WHERE: West Side Tennis Club
1 Tennis Place
Forest Hills, NY 11375

WHO: Everyone is welcome! Athletes and non-athletes join teams
of individuals representing clubs, corporations, organizations,
neighborhoods and families at this fun, community-oriented event.
Participants should register online (web site is being created).
There is a $10 registration fee.

WHY: The money raised helps support American Cancer Society
programs in research, education, advocacy and service--locally,
statewide, and nationally. The American Cancer Society is the
nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to
eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer,
saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research,
education, advocacy, and service.

SURVIVOR'S LAP:
At 7:00 p.m . cancer survivors are invited to take a victory lap and be
cheered on by fellow participants in a true celebration of their
courageous battle. Survivors do not pay a registration fee and should
call John or Erica at 718-263-2225 ext. 38, 13 to register.

LUMINARIA CEREMONY:
At 9:00 p.m. a candlelight ceremony pays tribute to
those who have been affected by cancer. Lights are placed in white
bags filled with sand and are positioned around the
track or bleachers. These luminarias are purchased in honor of those
who have survived their battle with cancer, for those
that are still fighting, and in memory of those who have courageously
battled this disease but lost. The luminarias are
kept burning throughout the night, representing the healing power of
community and the importance of funding to find a cure.
