I just created this blog so I can officially say that i am on myspace, facebook, xanga, friendster, and now blog spot. wow. i.am.lame.
random thoughts:
1. John Kerry blunder. wow.
"We're here to talk about education, but I want to say something before, you know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." Who authorized that "joke" and who wrote it. My goodness, that is awful...and they say Bush is a bad orator...
2. Fake blood is SO fun!
3. Starbucks hot chocolate is both gross and overpriced. Jittery Joes is much better. Okay, so i really just go to starbucks to people watch. i love watching and eavesdropping on the indy-rock/emoish/pseudo-intellectual/converse wearing/mac using/ipod wearing/hipster people.
i can't lie, i too love my converse shoes and ipod, so i guess it's a little hypocritical to poke fun...but, is it only cool to talk about:
-Nietzsche and Ayn Rand and their greatness
-how awful the president is
-ONLY talk (no action) about how bad Darfur is. (shouldn't we step up and do something)
-how awesome sufjan stevens is (although i do love him)
4. i've realized i'm both jaded and bitter. i'm way too young for that.
5. philosophically- what makes God good?
i can't seem to wrap my mind around the possibility that God could be anything but Good. i know that God is Good, and i can certainly give examples of His Goodness, but i've yet to learn a philosophical explanation to why He is Good...but i'm still a young philosophy student with a lot to learn.
6. i realize i live in a "college town" but really, do people never study because it seems that there is a loud never-ending party at my appartment complex.
7. St. Louis most dangerous...really?

-Currently Listening: The Notwist.
i illegally downloaded them, and i'm hooked. they kind of remind me of the postal service, but a lot better.
-Also, Kraftwerk's "pocket calculator" makes me laugh.
