This was our first full-length studio project. It was recorded in a little studio in a little town in Western NY - Dansville. It was an exciting time and a great experience. We would work through the night at the studio while Shawn Harnish - electric guitars - played the role of engineer. Eric Perry - drums - would go into the drum room which was "freezing cold." He would play and then complain between takes about how cold it was in the room. We never took him serious and years later while reliving the memory Shawn said, "Dude, you know we could have turned on the heat."

My favorite songs on the album are "Without You" "Let It Begin" and "Lightspeed." My favorite moment recording was when we - Shawn and I - late one night co-wrote and recorded "Have You Seen Her Lately.

Also, in the middle of recording this album we were invited to put a song on a Stryper tribute album... yep. I wasn't a Stryper fan but Shawn was and eventually we found a song that would work. So, somewhere out there is a Stryper tribute album with a Fringe recording of the song "Lonely."

One other memory is that this was the first of many failed attempts at capturing our live masterpiece "Killing Kind." We had a demo version but could never get close to how it sounded live. This song was attempted three times in Fringes seven years before we finally settled on the stripped down version found on the album "One More Day To There.'

Kurry Spencer played Bass for this album and we had several guests including Jesse Sprinkle and John Stevens. I have lots of good memories as we learned how to capture our musical creations. Eventually the album was picked up and distributed by Gray Dot Records / Bullet Proof. I still meet the odd person who bought and enjoyed the album.
