I like Virb. I like Vox. I even have a bit of a soft spot for MySpace. I just don't want them all to expect me to blog at their sites. These guys should do a better job integrating a user's existing blog (and photo service, and music service, and video service, and contacts service, and events service, and...). Not just barebones RSS either, something that really tie it in well. Maybe even leverage a couple smart blog CMS APIs and JavaScript text-editing libraries, and create an author tool that can interact with an existing blog. I should mention that Vox actually does this reeeally well, already, but there's always room for improvement.

I guess it comes down to the same thing I think about a lot of these social services. Don't seek to replace existing site that specialize in one service or facet of social interaction. Seek to work with them. Although I dig on Virb and will try to hang out here a bit, I expect that I (and most users) will still be keeping Flickr for photos, Revver for video, Wordpress for blogging, and iLike (or last.FM) for music, and Sonic Living (or Upcoming) for events. Can't be everything to everyone!
