JJ Abrams takes the stage. "I want a monster movie. I want a great monster movie, have wanted it for so long. We need our own monster, for our own movie. I want something that is just insane and intense."
He told a story about visiting Japan with his son …
Hey folks, Harry here.... I'm on the 101 north of San Francisco headed for Eureka, Ca to settle in tonight - and while driving, I had a bit of a Eureka moment with a spy revealing that the below MONSTROUS poster is the first of 3 teaser posters that will lead …

The above is apparently the first official teaser poster for Cloverfield, and it is as astute readers will note, very similar to the "Montrous" image we saw a week or two ago. Click here for the Entertainment Weekly story, and check out the next newstand issue for the …

Sorry for the lack of updates. I spent the weekend in D.C. and had to fight the urge to get out and look at the George Washington Masonic Memorial when we drove past it. First, what appears to be a set picture, courtesy of Scott, featuring the aftermath of the …

From commenter "Money":
Ok, I took the wallpaper on the downloads section of the slusho.jp website and folded it in on itself like the old Mad Magazine center folds.

Both Tim and Slashfilm mentioned this sticker on the wall in the trailer:

It looks very similar to a sign in this Flickr user's photo from the New Orleans fairgrounds.
It also seems that Mystery Street is a film noir from the '50s.
Any other thoughts about this sticker?
Astute reader Eric did us all the service of loading up his Alias DVDs and finding the part where Michael offered Sydney a Slusho, on Season 1, Episode 2:

Thanks, Eric.
From our new best friend Steve:
Here are all the lines from the teaser. I couldn't quite make out a couple of things. Maybe others will have better luck.
Blond Girl - "Quiet, he's coming."
Blond Girl - "????(Name perhaps) He's here, let's go."
Everyone - …
Thoughts from the brilliant Robert at Nonsense. (Definitely click for the full article.)
The basic story is: Albert Pike, a Sovereign Grand Commander in the Freemasons, supposedly wrote a letter to Giuseppe Mazzini, an influential 19th century Italian politician. …
Tim, my roommate and apparent Sancho Panza on this wild goose chase, has done me the favor of a screengrab of the head of Lady Liberty settling on the street.

He pointed out the spray paint on the back of the street sign that says "DEAD DEAD".
He also pointed …

SLUSHO! This has been confirmed as a "game" site.
In the History section, it lists the founder as Noriko Yashido, listed on this Wikipedia page as a co-author of a paper on ambient orange and lavender odors as calming agents.
Someone by that name also wrote the script …
I'm at almost 1900 pageviews today. I think that's really cool.
Comment roundup time!
Tim said, regarding the phone number in the SWhois:
I just tried to call but it's busy. I read in a forum that those who have called say it's weather information for somewhere in CA. I …
