Maybe it's just me but I don't think Love can be described. I can try, but it wouldn't ever do it the justice it deserves. I have had many people tell me I should write a song about my views, but I cant make anything up that says what I think Love encompasses. The closest thing to describing Love is... 1 Corinthians 13:3-7. 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. Not only does this help me day by day it gives me hope. But I can state some things that bother me about common conceptions of love: What a word that has lost all of its meaning. If this interests you at all pay attention when "I love you" is said, many of the times it's said as an apology. If you want to say sorry then say sorry, not I love you. Love is forever, if it isn't, then I'm sorry you were mistaken. You don't fall out of Love. One day you don't say oh yeah all that love I had for you I misplaced it, sorry want to be friends? Falling in Love doesn't take a matter of weeks, it takes YEARS upon years. Love and sex are not the same. [Although 99% of the people I have asked if they have been in love have said yes, and already had sex, sadly 99% of them are not with that person] To me that doesn't add up. More of my personal view: I think waiting to consummate your marriage in itself is Love. Knowing that one person will mean the world to you, and waiting for them and them alone, that is an act of Love. What an amazing thing to be able to give to someone? Than the knowledge that someone cared enough about you before they met you to wait for you. That is meaningful, that to me is a way of Love. You may say well Kasey, consummating a relationship is sex, and you said Love is not sex. Why yes I did, but waiting for that person is Love. This semester I am taking a course and in this course my professor freely talks about sex and all things related, love, affairs, courtly love etc. And its part of the curriculum sure, but when personal questions are asked to the class and certain points are made, I cannot help but look at my professor and think "Are you kidding me?" Some of the things stated [being my professors personal opinion] are absurd yet everyone agrees. When asked who hadn't been in Love before and I raised my hand [of course the only one], my professor thought that it was the strangest thing and started asking questions. What was it then? When I remained speechless still in shock from this, I was asked more questions. Was it lust? And so on. I am constantly challenged by people, but I didn't find it the right place to go into my rant about what I believe Love to be in the middle of my college class and professor. I like my professor, don't get me wrong; I just think some of the ideas proposed are preposterous. Looking around at a world mistaking something so different from Love hurts. And seeing its misconstrued meaning hurts, because it harms those people who believe it to be something it is not. I pray that people can grow and find out what it really means.

I have built up and instilled in myself a false sense of reality Confusing what is to really become of me and what should be Imagining endless possibilities of a life I have hoped to lead All the signs on the road and the marks in the street I misread Because age never equals a gained quality or personality trait Time is moving now, and for a future you must be able wait And God has a plan no matter what we ever hope to rearrange Life is a series of experiences and the past we cannot change A greater understanding doesn't make it easier to accept Anything we need to let go of, and everything we have kept Guidance isn't always direct and right in front of our eyes Barriers are formed and hazy thoughts are turned into lies Hoping for the best can sometimes raise you too high I have to keep grounded before I float up into the sky Everything that keeps you happy can temporarily be misplaced And it may take a while to remember we are saved by grace Instead of jumping into a future or plans we so easily create And focusing on something we imagine is coming too late Be grateful and thankful of the opportunities that we possess So we will not be motivated to say that we know what is best

i watch the world change around me, i see my friends become involved, i see my friends break. i see happy married couples i see the people fighting around the corner. i have sat in the middle of thousands of people and watched the world move and it seems that i am not going anywhere,its a strange feeling. although others are just moving quickly to get where they want, i am remaining calm and still. doesnt it seem to be that all we see is what we dont have? its a funny thing. because at times we want what we dont have, when we just need to realize that we already have all we need. and that Christ readily gives us everything we need to function, we are okay. i am okay. anyways this verse is one of my absolute favorites. its something that keeps me going, it keeps me instilled with morals, it keeps me away from looking for love in all the wrong places. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
